Sri
Lanka Holiday Weather |
|
The
tropical paradise of Sri Lanka is an all year round
holiday destination. The average temperatures are
between 27-33 degree Celsius in most low-lying areas
and coastal areas. In the hill country the
temperatures can be cooler than the low-lying areas.
Sri Lankas weather is characterised by the two
monsoons (South Western and North Eastern). However,
the monsoons approach the country from opposite
directions to each other. When there is wet season
in the South West it is perfect and sunny on the
North and East. This makes it always a perfect time
to visit this beautiful green island.
The weather pattern doesnt stick to exact calendar
months. It is therefore not uncommon to experience
long spells of sunny days during the monsoon period.
Likewise, there will be some rain during the dry
period. |
